Texas-Wildflowers-Bluebonnets-Sunset-spring2012_26.jpgIt’s Spring.  Here in Texas that means sunshine, bluebonnets, hail, rain and barbecue. It’s fantastic.  It is also the perfect time to indulge in a delicious cocktail from Reyka Vodka as you watch the most glorious sunsets that I’ve ever seen.


Reyka SouthsideReyka Southside

2 parts Reyka Vodka

1 part fresh lime juice

¾ part simple syrup (1:1)

4-6 Mint leaves

Combine all ingredients together in cocktail shaker and double strain and serve.

Method: Shake

Glass: Coupe

Garnish: mint leaf or sprig

In case, you are unfamiliar with Reyka Vodka. It’s an Icelandic brand that delicious, mixed or not.
